A big Thank You to all our friends, supporters, fans, and well-wishers who
came out to see Tin Pan Alley 7 last weekend.
This was an important milestone for the WMCS as a performing
group and for the current performing members. We strove to raise the bar and do
new and different things. It was a big challenge, especially for our newest
members; but everyone worked extremely hard and collectively, we rose to the
challenge. We were thrilled (as always) to be able to share our love of music
with all of you.
The Production of Tin Pan Alley every year is by no means an
easy task. As productions go, we try to
be low-budget, but most years especially this one, we were more of a no-budget
production so we would like offer our heartfelt praise to some of those whose
contributions made it possible as we strive to continue to showcase musical
excellence.
Mention must be made of Ashley Hope and his team at
AccuSounds; we may be a low budget production but he sure gives us that big
budget sound each and every time. Great job again this year guys!
Stephen Brathwaite and the CSOSA who chipped in and contributed
to the brilliant lighting through IGM Stage Lighting Inc.
Our members, I mean there’s no show without you. This year we give a few special pats on the
back to Romario Wilkinson and Melanie Hinds who took over leadership of the
Concert Band, and were responsible for rehearsals, and that once again
spectacular performance on concert night. Our future is in good hands!!
Special mention must be made of Kofi and Kymani Gilkes; the
team of Shawn Layne, Mylon Clarke, Roger Jordan and Mark Husbands who always
give their tremendous support; the students of the Barbados Community College’s
Music and Theater Arts Programs and The Alleyne School. To Roddy Roach who not only had the biggest
audience of the night, but also supplied props compliments Barbados Packaging
Industries Ltd; and our Marketing Team of Romario Wilkinson, Melanie Hinds and
Tiffany Goddard.
Thank you again for supporting Tin Pan Alley 7, The
Completeness of Music!!
We’ll be posting photos & videos over the coming days
& weeks, so keep your eye on this page.
