WMCS Membership is open to all who wish to participate in a setting where youth and experience meet to produce high quality musicianship. The Society places youth development at the core of its activities and through a well defined mentorship programme will deliver on this goal. Hard work and discipline are our way of life.
Our current membership is made up of students and alumni from the following schools but our aim is to broaden as widely as possible:

HOW TO JOIN THE WMCS COMMUNITY CONCERT BAND

Attend a rehearsal Saturday afternoon

Check in before 2:00 PM

Listen to a rehearsal to determine your personal ability

Bring your instrument to a rehearsal and sit in on the rehearsal

Speak to the conductor and section leader about a possible future audition

Annual membership dues are as follows:
- $300 for individuals
- $1,200 individual five-year membership (savings of $300)
- $800 individual three-year membership (savings of $100)
- $150 for retirees
- $120 for students (full-time)
- $200 for post-graduates (3-year limit from time of degree earned)
- $100 for spouse/partner
- $4,500 Lifetime Membership
- $900 Lifetime Membership (one of five annual instalments)
(Note: Membership is based on the calendar year. Applications received after October 1st will start the following calendar year, unless otherwise specified. Those received prior to October 1st will begin retroactive to the beginning of the current year.)
